Classic Tiramisu Recipe

Ingredients
- 250g mascarpone cheese
- 3 eggs, separated
- 4 tbsp granulated sugar
- 200ml espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- 200g ladyfingers (savoiardi)
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream: In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy. Add mascarpone and mix until smooth.
- Whip Egg Whites: In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
- Assemble Layers: Quickly dip ladyfingers in cooled espresso (don’t soak too long). Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a dish. Spread half the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat: Add another layer of espresso-dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone cream. Smooth the surface.
- Chill & Finish: Dust generously with cocoa powder. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.
