Steak Parisien (Steak au Fromage Fondu) 🧀🥩🍴



Indulge in this deliciously cheesy Parisian steak! Perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 2 chopped steaks (or fake fillets or ribs depending on preference) 🥩
  • 4 slices of melted cheese (Emmental, Cheddar, Comté, or Raclette) 🧀
  • 1 chopped onion 🧅
  • 2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper, then cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter or oil and sauté the chopped onion until caramelized (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Return the steaks to the skillet, place 2 slices of cheese on each steak, and cover the skillet. Cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and becomes gooey.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with the caramelized onions, and pair with a side of fresh greens or crusty bread.
