A savory, protein-packed breakfast that’s as beautiful on the plate as it is satisfying on the fork!

If you’re the kind of person who believes breakfast should be bold, satisfying, and a little bit fancy—this one’s for you! Juicy grilled steak, buttery soft scrambled eggs, and fresh sliced tomatoes come together in this hearty breakfast (or brunch!) plate that’s full of flavor and perfectly balanced.

With just a few quality ingredients and a touch of care in the cooking, you’ll create a breakfast that feels like something from your favorite brunch bistro—right at home.

Ingredients

For the Scrambled Eggs:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream (or milk)
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter

For the Steak:

  • 2 steaks (ribeye or sirloin recommended)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

For Garnish:

  • 1–2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, chives, or thyme)

Instructions

Step 1: Grill the Steak

  1. Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat steaks dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet or grill grates. Once hot, place the steaks and sear for 4–5 minutes per side (for medium-rare).
  4. In the final minute of cooking, add 1 tbsp butter and baste the steaks for extra richness.
  5. Remove from heat and let the steaks rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Step 2: Make the Scrambled Eggs

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream (or milk), salt, and pepper until smooth and airy.
  2. Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
  3. Pour in the egg mixture and gently stir with a spatula.
  4. Cook low and slow, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are soft, glossy, and just barely set. Remove from heat while still slightly underdone—residual heat will finish the job.

Step 3: Assemble Your Plate

  1. Slice the rested steak into thin strips or bite-sized chunks.
  2. Plate the steak on one side, and scoop a fluffy mound of scrambled eggs beside it.
  3. Add fresh tomato slices to the plate.
  4. Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped fresh herbs for brightness and a pop of color.
