Ingredients

For the Chocolate Cake:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For the Creamy Candy Filling:

  • 1/2 cup Nutella (or any chocolate spread)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup crushed Oreos
  • 1/4 cup M&M’s (plus more for extra crunch)
  • 4 Ferrero Rocher chocolates, crushed

For Decoration (Optional but highly encouraged):

  • Extra M&M’s
  • Crushed Oreos
  • Ferrero Rocher chocolates, halved

Instructions

Step 1: Bake the Cake

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3–4 minutes).
  4. Add the oil, milk, and vanilla to the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the dry ingredients until the batter is smooth and chocolaty.
  6. Pour into the lined baking pan, smooth out the top, and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 2: Roll and Cool

  1. Once baked, let the cake cool for a few minutes. Lay a clean kitchen towel on your counter and dust it with powdered sugar.
  2. Turn the cake out onto the towel, peel off the parchment, and carefully roll it up from the short end while it’s still warm. Let it cool completely in the towel roll.

Step 3: Make the Filling

  1. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. Gently fold in the Nutella, then mix in the crushed Oreos.

Step 4: Fill and Roll

  1. Unroll the cooled cake and spread the Nutella cream filling evenly over the surface.
  2. Sprinkle on M&M’s and crushed Ferrero Rocher.
  3. Roll the cake back up, keeping the filling snug inside.

Step 5: Decorate and Chill

  1. Place the rolled cake seam-side down on a serving platter.
  2. Decorate the top with more M&M’s, crushed Oreos, and Ferrero Rocher halves if you want to go all out.
  3. Chill the cake in the fridge for at least 1 hour to set before slicing.

Serving Suggestions

  • Slice with a serrated knife for clean, candy-packed rounds.
  • Serve with a glass of cold milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge (if there are any!).
