Delicious and Successful Marble Cake 👌🏻

Moist, fluffy, and beautifully swirled—this easy marble cake is always a hit!

Some days just call for a classic, comforting cake. And nothing says homemade goodness like a marble cake—that perfect swirl of vanilla and chocolate in every bite. This recipe is not only foolproof, but it’s also incredibly moist thanks to a splash of milk and a dollop of flavored yogurt. It’s a crowd-pleaser for any occasion, whether you’re serving it with coffee or dressing it up with melted chocolate for dessert!

✨ Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 container vanilla-flavored yogurt
  • 1 sachet vanilla (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 sachets baking powder (or 2 tsp)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

✨ Instructions:

1. Prepare the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, oil, milk, yogurt, vanilla, vinegar, and baking powder. Slowly add in the flour, mixing until smooth and lump-free.

2. Divide and Color

Split the batter into two equal parts. Leave one part plain (vanilla), and stir the cocoa powder into the other half to make it chocolate.

3. Layer the Cake

Grease a cake mold with butter and dust it with flour. Pour in alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate batter—first half vanilla, then half chocolate, and repeat—until all batter is used up. This creates that beautiful marbled effect.

4. Bake

Place the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 40–45 minutes depending on your oven.

5. Optional Decoration

For an extra indulgent finish, melt some dark chocolate with a splash of milk and pour it over the cooled cake.

Serve & Enjoy!

Let your marble cake cool slightly before slicing into it. You’ll see those gorgeous swirls and smell the lovely vanilla and cocoa aromas. It pairs perfectly with a cup of tea, coffee, or even a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Pro Tips:

  • Don’t overmix the batter after adding flour—just enough to combine.
  • You can gently swirl the batter with a skewer for a more dramatic marble effect.
  • Swap vanilla yogurt for lemon or orange for a citrusy twist!
