Crockpot Loaded Beef and Potato Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef steak (ribeye or sirloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • (Additional ingredients often used in similar recipes, not listed in the image but inferred: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, 1/2 cup beef broth, and fresh parsley for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Cut the beef steak into bite-sized pieces. Peel and dice the potatoes into roughly 1-inch cubes.
  2. Season: In a bowl, toss the beef and potatoes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder (about 1 tsp each, adjust to taste).
  3. Layer in Crockpot: Place the seasoned beef and potatoes into the crockpot. Pour in 1/2 cup beef broth to help with cooking and add flavor.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender and the potatoes are soft.
  5. Add Cheese: In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover and let it melt.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Once done, garnish with chopped fresh parsley (as seen in the image) and serve hot.

Notes:

  • You can add other seasonings or ingredients like diced onions, paprika, or Worcestershire sauce for extra flavor.
  • If the dish looks too dry during cooking, add a bit more broth or water.
