Crispy Cheddar Chicken 


A cheesy, crunchy, and juicy baked chicken dish that’s easy to make and packed with flavor!
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 1 cup, crushed)
½ cup milk
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Optional Creamy Sauce:
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
½ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the Coating:
- In three separate shallow bowls:
Place milk in the first bowl.
Place shredded cheddar cheese in the second bowl.
In the third bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Coat the Chicken:
- Dip each chicken breast into the milk.
- Coat evenly with cheddar cheese, pressing it onto the surface.
- Press into the cracker mixture, ensuring a thick, crunchy coating.
Bake Until Crispy:
- Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle with melted butter for extra crispiness.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp: 165°F/74°C).
Prepare the Creamy Sauce (Optional):
- In a small saucepan, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until warm and smooth.
