Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 20 raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups (500 ml) heavy cream
  • 200 g fettuccine, cooked al dente and drained
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 250 g grated Manchego cheese (or any semi-hard cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional: extra grated Parmesan for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and stir for 1 minute, ensuring it doesn’t brown.
  2. Cook Shrimp: Add 20 peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and slightly golden.
  3. Make Creamy Sauce: Pour 2 cups of heavy cream into the skillet. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally, without letting it boil vigorously.
  4. Combine Pasta: Add 200 g of cooked fettuccine to the sauce. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon ground white pepper. Stir well to coat the pasta evenly.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle in 250 g of grated Manchego cheese. Stir gently for 3 minutes until the cheese melts into a creamy sauce.
  6. Serve: Plate immediately, garnished with 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley and optional extra Parmesan for a finishing touch.
