Ingredients
For the Steak:
- 2 small ribeye or sirloin steaks
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed
For the Scrambled Eggs:
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp whole milk or cream
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp butter
- Fresh chives or parsley, chopped
For the Mashed Potatoes & Gravy:
- 1½ lbs Yukon gold potatoes, peeled & cubed
- 3 tbsp butter
- ½ cup milk or cream
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Prepared or homemade brown gravy
For the Bacon:
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon
For the Stuffing:
- 2 cups cubed day-old bread
- 1 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup diced onion
- ¼ cup diced celery
- ½ tsp dried sage
- ½ tsp thyme
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Steak
- Season steaks generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side until caramelized.
- Add butter and smashed garlic; baste the steaks with the melted butter for another 1–2 minutes.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
2. Scrambled Eggs
- Whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper.
- Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over low heat.
- Pour in eggs and stir slowly with a spatula until soft, fluffy, and just set.
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs.
3. Mashed Potatoes & Gravy
- Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain and mash with butter and milk until creamy.
- Season to taste.
- Warm the gravy and spoon over potatoes when plating.
4. Bacon
- Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp and golden.
- Drain on paper towels.
5. Stuffing
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and celery until tender.
- Stir in bread cubes, sage, thyme, and broth.
- Cook uncovered over medium heat for 10 minutes, until slightly crisp on the edges.
- Season to taste.
