Ingredients 🛒 (Makes 12 sliders)
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 Hawaiian slider rolls
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions 👩🍳
1️⃣ Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion together until the beef is browned and the onions are soft, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
2️⃣ Add the Flavor Boost
Stir in the garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5–7 minutes until thick and rich.
3️⃣ Get It Cheesy
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until everything is melty and delicious. Remove from heat.
4️⃣ Assemble the Sliders
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves into a greased baking dish. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture evenly over the bottoms. Place the tops on.
5️⃣ Brush & Bake
Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, or until golden and warm.
6️⃣ Serve and Swoon
Sprinkle with chopped green onions for a fresh pop of color and flavor. Serve warm—these are best enjoyed gooey and fresh from the oven!
