  • Savory, tender beef sautéed with onions and peppers
  • Melted provolone or mozzarella that ties it all together
  • Easy to make in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

For the Cheesesteak Filling:

  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak (or shaved beef)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 6 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese

For the Garlic Parmesan Bread:

  • 1 loaf French bread or 2–4 hoagie rolls, sliced lengthwise
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Make the Garlic Parmesan Bread

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley (if using). Spread the garlic butter mixture generously onto the cut sides of the bread.

Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut-side up, and bake for 5–7 minutes, or until golden and lightly crisp. Remove from the oven and set aside.

2. Cook the Cheesesteak Filling

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced onions and green bell peppers. Sauté for about 3–4 minutes, until the veggies are soft and slightly caramelized.

Push the veggies to one side of the skillet and add the sliced ribeye steak. Cook for another 4–5 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Season everything with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine evenly.

3. Assemble the Cheesesteaks

Spoon the hot steak and veggie mixture evenly over the toasted garlic bread.

Top each portion with 2–3 slices of provolone or mozzarella cheese.

Return the assembled sandwiches to the oven and bake for an additional 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

To Serve

Slice and serve immediately while hot and gooey! Garnish with extra parsley or a sprinkle of Parmesan for a finishing touch.

Pair with a crisp salad, fries, or even a bowl of tomato soup for a comforting, well-rounded meal.
