Baked Chicken Marsala with Cheese 


** This creamy, cheesy twist on classic Chicken Marsala is a cozy, satisfying dish perfect for any night of the week!
*Ingredients:*
8 oz sliced baby bella mushrooms
2 tbsp butter, melted
3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
ยฝ cup flour
โ
cup butter
ยฝ cup chicken broth
ยผ cup Marsala wine
Salt & pepper, to taste
ยฝ tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for thickening)
ยฝ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
ยฝ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
2-3 green onions, thinly sliced
*Instructions:*
* Prep the Chicken:* โ Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise. โ Place between plastic wrap and pound to ยผ-inch thickness. *
Sautรฉ the Mushrooms:* โ Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. โ Sautรฉ mushrooms for 3-5 minutes until tender. Set aside. *
Dredge & Brown the Chicken:* โ Coat chicken in flour, shaking off excess. โ Melt 2 tbsp butter in the same skillet. โ Cook chicken on both sides until golden. Set aside. *
Make the Sauce:* โ Pour in chicken broth and Marsala wine, scraping up brown bits. โ Simmer for 5 minutes. โ Stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken, then remove from heat. *
Assemble & Bake:* โ Preheat oven to 450ยฐF (232ยฐC).
