Juicy Steak with Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
- 2 ribeye or NY strip steaks
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed
- Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
For the Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce:
- 8–10 large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the Steak:
- Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side until desired doneness.
- During the last minute, add butter, garlic, and herbs. Baste the steak.
- Remove and let rest 5 minutes.
Make the Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce:
- Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté shrimp 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Add minced garlic, cook 30 seconds.
- Pour in cream and chicken broth. Stir in Parmesan and paprika. Simmer until thickened.
- Return shrimp to the sauce. Simmer 1–2 minutes.
Plate & Serve:
- Pour creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the steak.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and cracked black pepper.
