Juicy Steak with Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:

For the Steak:

  • 2 ribeye or NY strip steaks
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

For the Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce:

  • 8–10 large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

Cook the Steak:

  1. Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  3. During the last minute, add butter, garlic, and herbs. Baste the steak.
  4. Remove and let rest 5 minutes.

Make the Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce:

  1. Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté shrimp 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add minced garlic, cook 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in cream and chicken broth. Stir in Parmesan and paprika. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Return shrimp to the sauce. Simmer 1–2 minutes.

Plate & Serve:

  1. Pour creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the steak.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley and cracked black pepper.
