  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 bag tortilla chips (for dipping)

Instructions 👩‍🍳

1. Cook the Beef and Shrimp

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the beef chunks with salt and pepper, then cook until browned and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes.
  • Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, cook the shrimp until pink and fully cooked, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  • Remove and set aside with the beef.

2. Prepare the Queso

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and milk.
  • Stir continuously until the mixture melts and becomes smooth and creamy.

3. Add the Flavor

  • Stir in the diced onions, bell peppers, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and garlic powder into the queso.
  • Mix until the vegetables soften slightly and the spices are well incorporated.

4. Combine Everything

  • Add the cooked beef and shrimp into the queso mixture.
  • Stir gently to coat everything evenly with the cheesy sauce.

5. Serve

  • Transfer the dip to a serving tray or bowl.
  • Arrange tortilla chips around the dip for easy grabbing.

Serve hot and enjoy every creamy, savory bite!

Tips for Best Results

  • Use good cheese: Sharp cheddar melts beautifully and gives a bold flavor. Feel free to mix in Monterey Jack for extra creaminess!
  • Spice it up: Add a few diced jalapeños if you want a little extra heat.
