๐ Ingredients:
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for onions)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for onions)
- 1 tsp sugar
- ยฝ tsp salt (for onions)
- ยผ tsp black pepper (for onions)
- ยผ cup beef broth
- 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt to taste (for fries)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions:
- French Fries: Preheat oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC). Toss fries with vegetable oil and salt. Spread on a baking sheet, bake 25-30 mins, turning occasionally, until crispy. Keep warm.
- Caramelized Onions: Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook 25-30 mins, stirring occasionally, until golden. Add beef broth, cook 5 mins more. Keep warm.
- Ribeye Steaks: Pat steaks dry, season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat, cook steaks 3-4 mins per side for medium-rare (or to preference).
- Garlic & Herbs: Lower heat to medium-low. Add garlic, rosemary, thyme, and butter. Baste steaks with butter mixture for 1-2 mins.
- Rest: Remove steaks, let rest 5-10 mins.
- Serve: Top steaks with caramelized onions, serve with fries. Garnish with parsley.
