Tips & Variations
- For extra flavor, add a slice of tomato, spinach, or a fried egg inside.
- Swap chicken ham for turkey, regular ham, or prosciutto.
- Make it ahead: Assemble (without baking), wrap tightly, and refrigerate up to 24 hours—brush and bake when ready.
- No poppy seeds? Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning work great too.
- For crispier tops, broil for the last 1–2 minutes (watch closely!).
